Friday, October 20

Free parking available at Peavine Parking Deck beginning at noon. 

1:00 p.m.--4:00 p.m.: FAMILY WEEKEND INFO DESK, Woodruff PE Center near the DUCling

1:00 p.m.--1:45 p.m.:  Tours of Goizueta Business School conducted by current BBA students. Meet at arch next to Highland Bakery at Goizueta Business School.

2:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m.:  SESSIONS 

3:15 p.m.-4:15 p.m.:  SESSIONS       

 4:15 p.m.—5:00 p.m.:  Tours of Goizueta Business Schools conducted by current BBA students.

Meet at arch next to Highland Bakery at Goizueta Business School 

4:30 p.m.-5:30 p.m.:  SESSIONS

Meet at rock structure near Alabama Hall

6:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m.:  Food Truck Festival in Asbury Circle sponsored by Delta Phi Epsilon Sorority as part of “Eat to Beat CF”

6:30 p.m.:  Family Weekend Shabbat, Student-Led Reform and Conservative Prayers at 6:30 with dinner to follow at 7:30. Emory Hillel, 735 Gatewood Rd NE, Atlanta, GA 30322. Please register at:

8:00 p.m. EMORY WIND ENSEMBLE, Schwartz Center, Emerson Concert Hall

In this Family Weekend concert, the Emory Wind Ensemble presents the world premiere of celebrated filmmaker Nikoloz Kevkhishvili’s newest film, In Her Image, with an original score by Richard Prior, conducted by Paul Bhasin. Also, five brass soloists of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra perform together in a special rendition of Leonard Bernstein’s Mass in celebration of the Bernstein Centennial. Free admission and no tickets required. Total event length: 1 hour 15 minutes.

9:00 a.m. HOMECOMING/FAMILY WEEKEND 5K RUN through Lullwater Park, Register and start at SAAC, Clairmont Campus, Registration:  8:00 a.m.-8:45 a.m.

Throughout the day: Family Weekend Meal* options: Check out the variety of dining options on campus including:  the DUCling, Cox Hall, The Depot, Highland Bakery in Goizueta Business School, SAAC Café, and Starbuck’s at Emory Bookstore. 

*Dooley Dollars may be used at all of these venues. Dooley Dollars are separate from the meal plan and are used as a declining balance. 

10:00 a.m-11:30 a.m.: 12th Annual Legacy Brunch and Pinning Ceremony (Miller-Ward Alumni House). Invitation only. (A legacy is a child or grandchild or sibling of an Emory alumnus)

10:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. SESSIONS

10:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m.:  Admissions information session for Family Weekend and Homecoming attendees led by an Emory Admissions Counselor. Oxford Road BuildingRegistration required (no charge) at: 

11:30 a.m.-12:45 p.m.-Optional admissions tour of campus led by a current student with reception to follow.

11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.: SESSIONS

11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. Emory Alumni Authors Showcase
Meet and greet with our Emory alumni authors and learn more about their books.
Asbury Circle/Dooley's Statue

11:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.—“EMORY STREET EATS” Food Truck Park, Asbury Circle. Join Emory alumni for Family Weekend/Homecoming spirit and tasty food.

Noon, 1:00 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.: “Curious George Meet and Greets” Emory Bookstore. Children’s section, First Floor. 

12:30 p.m.: HOMECOMING PARADE, Asbury Circle. Join President Claire Sterk in this entertaining Emory tradition! Spread the Emory spirit!

1:00 p.m.:  Men’s and Women’s Swimming and Diving Meet Woodruff PE Center

1:00 p.m.:  Women’s Soccer v. Roanoke, Woodruff PE Center Soccer Field

1:30 p.m.:  Cookie Social in the Emory Bookstore, Second floor. Come satisfy your sweet tooth at the bookstore while you browse for Emory gifts and apparel.

Join the Concert Choir and its alums during Family Weekend for an evening of choral music celebrating Eric Nelson’s twentieth year as director. Free admission. No tickets required.
