Emory Parent Council
The Emory Parent Council (EPC) is the university's premiere opportunity for parent engagement. It is a dedicated group of parents who support the university’s goals, create community among Emory families, and champion resources that promote student success. Stephanie Vallillo and Miguel Sagarna (P27, P24) currently serve as the Parent Council Chairs.
What Does the Council Do?
The Emory Parent Council meets twice annually – in the fall, concurrent with Emory Family Weekend, and in the spring. Members serve two-year, renewable terms. Emory Parent Council members:
- act as ambassadors for Emory, strengthening relationships between the university and both current and prospective parents.
- serve as volunteers or hosts for a variety of regional and campus events throughout the year.
